Sylvia Sagmeister studied piano and instrumental pedagogy at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (today MUK) and at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna (mdw). Since 1997 she has been teaching piano at the ‘Musikschulen Wien‘.
For the project “Hidden Harmonies” Sylvia Sagmeister conducted extensive academic research and was responsible for obtaining the sheet music from the Austrian National Library and the Vienna City Library. Together with artistic director Stefan Mendl, she helped determine which female composers and their works were to be included in the project.
