Tancredi Rossi

Tancredi Rossi completed his bassoon studies in Italy and subsequently specialised with Francesco Bossone and Patrick De Ritis. With the latter he specialised in the performance of early 20th century repertoire. In Italy, he has been the 1st bassoonist of the Istituzione Sinfonica Abruzzese since 2022. He is the founder of the artist collective The Modular Project and has collaborated with pianist Kaori Saeki in the performance of chamber works for bassoon and piano since 2021.

He is currently enrolled in the Master’s program in Chamber Music at the University for Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw) with Professors Gottfried Pokorny and Stepan Turnovsky. In 2019, he won the competition as 2nd bassoon in the Cairo Symphony Orchestra and was part of the orchestra for one year. Since 2018 he has been playing with various orchestras in Austria. He has performed as a soloist in Italy and Austria and has played concertos by Johann Nepomuk Hummel, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Jan K. Neruda.
