Maxim Tzekov

Maxim Tzekov, born in Austria in 2000, started studying the violin at the age of five.

He attended the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw) under Lieke teWinkel, Gerhard Schulz, Annette Bik and Sebastian Gürtler and currently studies with Ulf Wallin at the HfM Hanns Eisler Berlin. As a soloist and chamber musician he has been a guest at international concert halls and festivals such as the Musikverein and Konzerthaus Vienna, the Philharmonie Luxembourg and the Muziekgebouw Amsterdam. He has performed with the Classic FM Radio Orchestra Sofia, the Camerata UNAB Chile and the Symphony Orchestra of the HfMT Hamburg.

Maxim Tzekov is the winner of the International Violin Competition “Kloster Schöntal” 2019, as well as first prize winner of the Stephanie Hohl Competition 2021 in Vienna and the International Violin Competition Alberto Lysy 2020.
