(Maria Bach, Wolga Quintett)
To follow a very own and fundamentally sincere path, a path that wants to overcome supposed boundaries – that is the motto of the Chaos String Quartet.
The four quartet members Susanne Schäffer, Eszter Kruchió, Sara Marzadori and Bas Jongen see chaos as the “archetype of everything creative”, whereby art, science and philosophy can be combined into a total work of art.
Recently awarded various prizes at the ARD Music Competition, the String Quartet Competition in Bordeaux and the Joseph Haydn Competition, the Chaos String Quartet quickly finds its place on the international stage. In addition, the quartet was recently included in BBC Radio 3’s prestigious Next Generation Artists Scheme. Mentored by Prof. Johannes Meissl in Vienna and Oliver Wille in Hanover, the ensemble also completed postgraduate studies at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole with the Cuarteto Casals
